I like many Americans, am grateful to see the blue tsunami that has changed the political landscape of our country. But that is just a very small beginning. It is a very small piece of hope. I, and many people I have spoken to and have seen online want new leadership for the Democratic Party. I do not want to see Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jefferies remain in their positions of leadership. Their failure to listen to the American people or to take action when they had leverage to do so demands a change. Americans didn’t come out in force to have the same old same old happen again. I urge you to please nominate and vote for new candidates for Speaker of the House and leadership of the Senate. It is way past time for a change. If you look anywhere online right now, people are already creating petitions asking for the House and the Senate to elect new leadership. Please be on the side of the people. We are done with old establishment Democrats doing the same thing that hasn’t worked. Yes affordability is an issue, but there are a lot more issues that need addressing that Americans care about. It is time for accountability and justice for the atrocities that have been committed by the current administration. The Iran war, ICE, detention centers that are cruel and inhumane just to name a few. We need new leadership. So I urge you to please listen to the people who elected you and what they are asking of you to do now. We didn’t turn out in huge numbers to have the same thing happen and see the Democrats be useless when they actually have the power to do things and that starts at the top with leadership. It is time for a change. This is a critical point in our democracy and if there’s not a change in leadership, I fear nothing will actually get accomplished in stopping the runaway train that is off the current administration. Please listen to your constituents and make a change. Please do not let the blue tsunami go to waste. Thank you.
