I am writing to strongly condemn the Pentagon’s new review of women in ground combat roles. This “review” is a transparent attempt to purge qualified, battle-tested soldiers based on ideology, not merit.
We have women serving right now in infantry, armor, and artillery units who met the exact same physical and performance standards as their male counterparts. They passed Ranger School. They passed the Q Course. They are serving in our most elite units because they earned it.
To strip these soldiers of their positions after they have proven their lethality and readiness is an insult to their service and a direct threat to our military effectiveness. It tells every service member that meeting the standard doesn't matter if you don't fit the administration's social agenda.
A lethal military cares about one thing: can you do the job? These women can. Stop this political witch hunt and let our warfighters fight.
