Investigate DOGE leadership conflicts and restore ethics, transparency

The organization DOGE, despite not being an official government agency, is exercising sweeping authority over federal operations and spending. Elon Musk's leadership role in DOGE, as initially promoted by the White House, appears to have been walked back amidst legal challenges. However, Musk continues to wield substantial influence through DOGE to target his critics and undermine oversight of his private business interests, creating unacceptable conflicts of interest. DOGE's attacks on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which previously investigated consumer complaints against Tesla, and media outlets like Reuters for scrutinizing Musk's business practices, raise serious ethical concerns about insulating him from accountability. The apparent manipulation of data, lack of transparency, and spread of misinformation by DOGE also undermine public trust in government integrity and truthfulness. Allowing a private entity tied to corporate interests to exercise such unchecked power over government functions is an unacceptable violation of ethical principles and constitutional separation of powers. A full investigation into these matters is urgently needed to restore accountability and ethical conduct.
