I am writing to you today as a deeply concerned constituent. The extreme tariffs being proposed—and in some cases already enacted—are a catastrophe in the making. The last time this country flirted with such protectionism, we triggered the Great Depression. And those tariffs weren’t even as reckless as what we’re seeing now. Your silence on this matter is not neutral. It is complicity. This is not how a great nation leads. Tariffs of this magnitude will devastate American businesses, raise costs for working families, destabilize global supply chains, and destroy our credibility as a trading partner. All because one man doesn’t understand how trade works—and no one seems willing to stand up to him and say no. You were elected to lead, not follow blindly into economic ruin. I urge you to SPEAK UP. Push back. Demand accountability. Stop this cataclysmic economic experiment before we all pay the price. History is watching, and your constituents are, too.
