We desperately need a new Senate minority leader with the energy and clarity and creativity to meet the urgency of this dangerous moment. Chuck Schumer is not it. And his replacement cannot be any of the senators who failed to put up a fight against the Continuing Resolution. This is not the time to meekly adhere to traditional lines of succession. Please nominate Cory Booker to replace Chuck Schumer. It’s way past time to pass the Senate leadership torch to the next generation. Booker has the fight in him. Someone who can speak so clearly and passionately in the 20th hour of a speech, is the kind of person we need leading the Senate right now.
