Request for the Removal of Mayor Eric Adams

To: Assembly Member Solages, Gov. Hochul, Sen. Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick

From: A verified voter in Valley Stream, NY

February 13, 2025

I am writing to formally urge you to take action to remove Mayor Eric Adams from office due to his continued failure to effectively govern New York City. His administration has been marred by mismanagement, ethical concerns, and policies that have negatively impacted the city’s residents. Under Mayor Adams’ leadership, the city has faced increasing issues related to public safety, housing instability, and financial mismanagement. His administration’s handling of key issues, including the migrant crisis and budget cuts to essential services, has demonstrated a lack of clear leadership and strategic planning. Additionally, mounting ethical concerns and federal investigations into his campaign finances have raised serious questions about his ability to lead with integrity. New Yorkers deserve a mayor who prioritizes transparency, accountability, and effective governance. Given the growing dissatisfaction among residents and the city’s continued struggles under his leadership, I urge you to take the necessary steps to remove him from office and ensure that the people of New York City are represented by a leader who is truly committed to the well-being of its citizens. Thank you for your time and attention to this urgent matter. I appreciate your leadership and commitment to the people of New York State.
