I am greatly concerned that our president is sending troops to Los Angeles. These have been generally peaceful protests. It looks as if he's trying to t urn them into violent protests so that he can declare martial law. I am greatly concerned that Congress appears to be doing nothing about this. Are there no checks and balances on our president? I'm trying to understand what the function of congress is at all. I am asking all of you to stand up to this tyrant. Surely you have the power to do something?
