Vote No on the Senate Crypto Bill — It's a Corruption and Crime Enablement Act

To: Rep. Davidson, Sen. Moreno, Sen. Husted

From: A verified voter in Cincinnati, OH

May 18

Vote no on the Senate crypto bill. This legislation was drafted behind closed doors with heavy crypto industry influence, and it shows. It contains zero provisions stopping public officials and their families from running multibillion-dollar crypto businesses while in office. The Trump family's crypto empire alone raises serious national security concerns, and the bill doesn't touch it. The problems go beyond corruption. The bill guts anti-money laundering standards, partially or totally exempting DeFi platforms and crypto developers from requirements that exist precisely because crypto is a preferred tool for organized crime, rogue states, and human traffickers laundering hundreds of billions annually. Coinbase and Binance have already been found guilty of willful AML failures — this bill rewards that behavior by weakening the rules further. Cosmetic amendments won't fix legislation this broken. Reject it entirely.
