My family needs your urgent assistance. The Trump administration’s illegal renditions of ANYONE to a foreign prison must end. Due process is enshrined in the Constitution. The same document that you have sworn to defend. Sending detainees to a foreign labor camp is the behavior of an authoritarian regime. I am holding you responsible for your inaction to stop the administration’s lawlessness. Why have you abnegated your power as an elected US official? Please look within. You may not value the lives of immigrants, but please search for the empathy to understand the humanity at play here. I do realize it might be a frightening proposition to challenge a bully such as Donald Trump, but take heart! Bullies fold under pressure. Perhaps you could ask your pastor for advice. Again, the president has been instructed 9-0 by the Supreme Court to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home, and he defies their decision. I want to receive a reply from you about what are going to do to help stop these outrageous extrajudicial renditions to El Salvador. You are my representative in this matter! I am sure you have heard from other concerned people. As a fellow American who values personal liberties like due process and “innocent until proven guilty,” I trust that you are taking these issues as seriously as I am. I am looking forward to your reply.
