I am writing to urge you to vote NO on H.J. Res. 140, the Boundary Waters Act. These waters should remain free of mining. They are the most visited wilderness in our country. The thought of this wilderness being used for mining should turn your stomachs as it does mine. The fact that China would be the one benefitting from any mining done should concern you as well. What happened to America First? Do you use that phrase only to pander to your base? Your vote on this will be very telling and I hope you consider what truly makes this country great. A big part of that is our wonderful natural areas. Please vote NO on this bill.
