Please Stop H.R. 9495

To: Rep. Lee, Sen. Scott, Sen. Rubio

From: A constituent in Zephyrhills, FL

November 23

The bill H.R. 9495 just passed through the House after a second round through. I saw you had voted Yes, and I must say I am extremely disappointed as your constituent. It is already illegal under U.S. law to provide material support for terrorism, therefore this bill is redundant and only opens the doors for the unnecessary and unlawful taxation and termination of some incredibly necessary non-profits. It will give the administration the power to shut down non-profits that they deem not aligned with their values. That, on a large scale, are helping millions of people in countries like Yemen, Sudan, etc. On a small scale, it could impact smaller yet no less important non-profit organizations that would deal with the repercussions of such a bill. Please, I emplore you to vote No in the next voting round. It will open the space for more abuse in the system, despite the well intentions. Thank you for your time.
