An Open Letter

To: Lt. Gov. Patrick, Sen. Johnson, Rep. Bowers, Gov. Abbott

From: A verified voter in Mesquite, TX

June 5

I am writing as a concerned Texan to urge you to publicly support a serious review of whether President Trump remains fit to fulfill the duties of the presidency. The 25th Amendment exists for a reason. It is a constitutional safeguard designed to protect the nation when there are legitimate concerns about a president's ability to carry out the responsibilities of the office. Recent statements and actions have raised profound questions about judgment, stability, and the ability to lead during moments of national and international consequence. This should not be viewed through a partisan lens. The issue is whether our elected leaders are willing to place constitutional responsibility above political loyalty. If concerns about presidential fitness are credible, they deserve examination and transparency rather than dismissal. I expect my elected representatives to defend the Constitution, uphold democratic institutions, and put the interests of the American people first. I urge you to make your position clear and support any lawful and constitutional process necessary to evaluate the President's fitness for office.
