The new bill being proposed by Bernie Sanders is the only smart response We have heard so far from our government, of how to deal with the potential upheaval of AI and the companies that stand to profit from these models. A public wealth fund with half ownership and equal voting rights to all Citizens whose work and creative output has been used without our consent, need to be brought into the profit and control of these companies rather than the being under sole control of a few billionares. This must happen and is a good model to follow, I would also posit this must be done in both writing music and film and with any streaming company that agregates creative work and pays a pittance of “profit” share to the creators of their product. We are both the consumer and the product of AI, it is based on our culmitave output as work/writing/music/art/law everything… We MUST be equal share owners with these tech moguls who have hacked our system and our behaviors for their own personal and investors gain. This bill takes a meaningful stab at solving the issue of who should pay for the massive disruption AI will cause. This Sanders bill must pass.
