This is your weekly reminder that, unless you start putting the people you represent ahead of your loyalty to President Trump, I do not believe you deserve to be re elected. Time and again, you have chosen to defend a man whose conduct and rhetoric I find deeply disturbing and fundamentally incompatible with the principles of our democracy. Instead of standing up for your own constituents, you continue to stand with someone I believe has shown authoritarian tendencies and repeatedly placed himself above the law. The courts have repeatedly ruled that aspects of this administration’s actions have exceeded legal authority or violated the law. Rather than serving as a constitutional check, you have chosen to defend and enable those actions. That is not the leadership your constituents deserve. History remembers those who remain silent, or worse, those who willingly support abuses of power. I hope you consider how your actions will be remembered. As a voter, I want you to know that I will continue to remind others of the choices you have made. Unless your priorities change and you begin representing the people of this district instead of defending unlawful and anti democratic conduct, I will do everything I can to ensure you are not re elected.
