Vote no (or veto) HB 2470 and HB 420. Less than three years after an 18-year-old opened fire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas lawmakers are considering bills to let 18 year olds to get licensed to possess guns and allow concealed carry of loaded guns in sensitive places like schools. Texas lawmakers need to listen to their constituents—not the gun lobby. This is sheer insanity- the police, trained professionals, wouldn't go into Uvalde with an active shooter. What makes you think there is an 18 year old alive who could show good judgment carrying a gun in a school. Are y'all being serious or is this a distraction from other nefarious machinations? Do your GD jobs to serve and protect Texans or go home! I am a civil and compassionate person. But the sheer selfishness, greed, and meanness of today's Republican Party is pure provocation. "Jesus Wept."
