The Department of Homeland Security is spending taxpayer money as if no budget exists, no limits apply, and no one will ever be held accountable—because Congress has failed to make them. DHS is behaving as though public funds are infinite, while the American people are barely staying afloat. This is reckless. It is obscene. And it is your responsibility.
Americans are drowning. Rent is crushing. Healthcare has become a luxury item. Grocery prices are punishing. Wages are stuck. One medical bill, one disaster, one missed paycheck is enough to push families into collapse. And yet DHS continues to torch billions of dollars as if oversight were optional and consequences nonexistent.
Let’s be absolutely clear: money does not grow on trees. Every dollar DHS wastes is a dollar taken from families who cannot pay their bills, seniors forced to ration medication, and parents struggling to keep the lights on. Congress controls the purse strings. If DHS is out of control, it is because Congress has allowed it to be.
This is not leadership. This is negligence.
You must rein in DHS spending immediately. No more blank checks. No more rubber-stamp budgets. No more excuses. Demand full audits. Hold aggressive oversight hearings. Freeze nonessential spending. Cut waste ruthlessly. If DHS cannot justify every dollar, that dollar should not be spent.
Americans are sick of being told there is “no money” for healthcare, housing, education, disaster relief, or economic support—while federal agencies burn through funds with zero restraint and zero accountability.
Do your job. Enforce the budget. Protect taxpayer money. Stop treating DHS as if it is above the law and beyond oversight.
If Congress continues to stand by while this financial abuse continues, then Congress owns the damage being done to this country.
We are watching. We are furious. And we will remember.
