As I am writing to you, I am sitting in Yosemite National Park enjoying my morning coffee with an incredible view. The natural beauty and tranquility of this space is absolutely astonishing and unlike anything else I’ve witnessed. At the same time, I am equally astonished that the Trump administration is currently trying to push a deal to sell part of Yosemite to a private land developer. Our National Parks are a treasured PUBLIC institution. They are to be enjoyed by all, not sold off to the highest bidder to be used for private convenience. And they need you to protect them! The people are counting on you to protect our cherished public spaces and their untouched natural beauty. I am counting on you to oppose the administration’s unprecedented push to sell Yosemite lands.
