Please protect Mollie’s pack from being killed I urge all parties to use their influence to protect the scientifically significant Mollie’s pack from being killed by hunters. As Yellowstone’s oldest continuously documented wolf family, Mollie’s pack has contributed to decades of rigorous scientific research and long-term wildlife monitoring. The pack has also helped make Yellowstone a world-renowned wildlife-watching destination, supporting Wyoming’s outdoor recreation and tourism economy. Now that the pack has established a den outside Yellowstone National Park, it faces the risk of legal hunting for the first time ever. Protecting this exceptional pack would recognize its unique scientific, educational, and economic value while remaining consistent with Wyoming’s broader wolf-management objectives and its longstanding commitment to responsible, science-based wildlife stewardship. I ask the commission to act before the hunting season begins on Sept. 15 to ensure that this extraordinary wolf family remains protected for the benefit of science, Wyoming’s wildlife economy, and future generations.
