Have you seen this Reuter headline?: “Exclusive: Musk aides lock government workers out of computer systems at US agency, sources say” (there are additional sources besides Reuters). ARE YOU GOING TO TRY TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS? This is NOT right! Musk isn’t even elected. I know a Social Security employee from here in rural Missouri. She already has to face the ridiculous choice of choosing to resign and hope Trump keeps his word to pay severance or take her chances. This is her livelihood. These are real people. Is it even legal what he’s doing? We all know what he wants to do is put loyalists in. My friend is not a threat to trump. It’s just ridiculous. And now, as the Reuters and other articles say, it seems that Musk is locking people out of offices, having his staff sleep there, and taking over information like federal employee SS numbers and other information. He has no right to that! I haven’t heard a peep out of you on the news about how these things aren’t right. I don’t know the political affiliations of most people affected. But you’re supposed to represent all Missourians. Do you care? It seems that Collins, Murkowski, and McConnell are the only ones so far to stand up to trump. I did read that Wyden is looking into Musk’s taking over those offices, but he’s only one man. If trump is able to get his freeze going where he tried to stop trillions of dollars from being spent, will you stand up then and be counted, because it’s likely that it’ll include things that include Missouri? It sure didn’t appear that you did when it seemed imminent. He got away with firing all those 17 IGs and the FBI and DOJ people who worked on prosecuting him. This is obviously the Revenge presidency. Do you think all those people hate him? Don’t you think most of them had bosses and were just doing their jobs? None of you Republicans said a word. He no longer talks about lower groceries and gas, things that helped him get elected. I have also read a Reuters/Ipsos poll that most things he’s doing are unpopular, especially the J6 pardons and commutations in which he betrayed law enforcement. If Trump keeps going, 2026 midterms may sway back Democrat, actually a good thing. Now is the time to stand up for what’s right instead of worrying about how/if it affects you politically. Work for Missourians, not trump.
