Do you support transparency or not?

To: Sen. Schmitt

From: A constituent in Plattsburg, MO

August 15

15 Aug 25 – Schmitt I am writing to ask very plainly, does the Senator fully support release of the Maxwell/Epstein case files. His messages have been mixed, I will quote him below: From January 2025 - “Open this stuff up. Release the Epstein files. Open this stuff up. I’d vote for declassifying.” March 2025 Senator Schmitt said he would “absolutely” vote to release those documents, and stated “there’s no reason any of that stuff should be secret.” August 2025, “I don’t know what they have. I don’t know what they don’t have. When you’re making a charging decision, obviously, you’re basing it on the information that’s in front of you. It’s just hard for me to opine on it.” This is NOT about charging decisions. This is about transparency. Does the Senator stand by his January 2025 comments for full release (with victim protection/redactions) or NOT? I want a clear straightforward answer. Please do not fill your response with unnecessary information.
