Elon Musk and those working with him in our most sensitive government systems need to be removed immediately. Musk was not elected, not confirmed and not able to receive a security clearance but has been given full access without any supervision or oversight. It does not matter what political party you are apart of because this is bigger than that. “Akash Bobba, Edward Coristine, Luke Farritor, Gautier Cole Killian, Gavin Kliger, and Ethan Shaotran are a group of young engineers, reportedly between the ages of 19 and 24, who have been identified as key figures in Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative. This project aims to modernize federal technology and software to enhance governmental efficiency and productivity. Despite their limited government experience, these individuals have been granted significant roles within various federal agencies. Akash Bobba: Bobba has attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he was part of the Management, Entrepreneurship, and Technology program. He has interned at Meta, Palantir, and Bridgewater Associates. Within DOGE, he is listed as an “expert” at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), reporting directly to the chief of staff. Edward Coristine: Coristine appears to have recently graduated from high school and was enrolled at Northeastern University. He spent three months at Neuralink, Musk’s brain-computer interface company. He is also listed as an “expert” at OPM and has been involved in reviewing code and assessing staff roles at the General Services Administration (GSA). Luke Farritor: Farritor is a former intern at SpaceX and a Thiel Fellow after leaving the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. While in school, he was part of a team that deciphered portions of an ancient Greek scroll. He holds a working GSA email address, indicating his involvement with the agency. Gautier Cole Killian: Also known as Cole Killian, he attended McGill University and worked as an engineer at Jump Trading. Within DOGE, he is listed as a volunteer and has a working email associated with the initiative. Gavin Kliger: Kliger attended UC Berkeley until 2020 and most recently worked for the AI company Databricks. His LinkedIn profile lists him as a special adviser to the director of OPM, focusing on information technology. Ethan Shaotran: Shaotran is a senior at Harvard University studying computer science and the founder of an OpenAI-backed startup, Energize AI. He was the runner-up in a hackathon held by Musk’s AI company, xAI, and received a $100,000 grant from OpenAI to develop his scheduling assistant, Spark. These individuals have been granted access to sensitive government systems and data, raising concerns about their qualifications and the potential implications of their roles within federal agencies.
