I am writing to urge you to support full transparency by allowing cameras and a live C-SPAN broadcast of Clinton’s testimony scheduled for February 27.
Politicians have long championed open government, accountability, and the public’s right to see how power is exercised. Sunshine is not a partisan value—it is a democratic one. When testimony of national significance is conducted behind closed doors, it fuels public skepticism and erodes trust in our institutions. Allowing Americans to see proceedings for themselves strengthens confidence in the process and ensures that facts are evaluated openly, not filtered through selective reporting or political spin.
Broadcasting this testimony would demonstrate a clear commitment to transparency and equal treatment under the law. If elected officials and public figures are confident in the integrity of the process, there should be no concern about public visibility. Open hearings protect both Congress and witnesses by creating a complete, public record.
Politicians have consistently argued that government works best when it is accountable to the people. Allowing cameras and a C-SPAN broadcast aligns with those principles and reinforces the idea that no individual or institution is above public scrutiny.
I respectfully ask that you advocate for full public access to the February 27 testimony and support broadcasting it live.
