According to multiple published reports Mr. Trump made much of his desire to add or increase tariffs on most products coming from multiple of our largest trading partners on day one. This will have a devastating effect on most Texans and the poor & working people across the nation. Please work to immediately rein in so-called emergency tariffs and restrict tariff import taxes to those codified in law and approved by congress. Furthermore, I urge you to speak out against tariffs publicly and work on legislation to eliminate previous abusive import taxes. Thank you for your prompt attention and do be well this Christmas.
