Stop the Department of Health and Human Services from accessing personally identifiable medical records through state health information exchange (HIE) systems.
Systems already exist to study the vaccination versus autism question with personal identifying information removed! RFK Jr is using this as a pretext to get all of our medical information.
The Secretary of Health And Human Services and his unqualified staff are not qualified to decide how to use our personal medical information. What if he uses that personal identifying information to target some people to be sent to confinement facilities!?!
This is not a hypothetical threat, HHS political appointees have already met with state HIE leaders multiple times, downloaded millions of identifiable patient records from the CDC's Vaccine Safety Datalink, and are pursuing a plan to access 90% of Americans' medical records by 2028. We never consented to this.
Why would state HIEs be rewarded for giving away our personal information? Nebraska's HIE became a key partner in this effort, and shortly after, Nebraska received $18.7 million from the CDC — the most of any state, despite ranking 38th in population. The HIE then received $13.6 million in state contracts.
HHS has offered no public explanation of how this data will be protected, stored, or used. The medical consensus on vaccines and autism has been studied for decades and is unambiguous — this is not legitimate research infrastructure. It is a surveillance apparatus built on public funds, driven by ideology, and shielded from public accountability.
To protect the people that you represent, you must demand a full public accounting of every agreement HHS has made with state HIEs, halt any further data sharing until patients are protected by law, and introduce legislation requiring explicit informed consent before any federal agency can access identifiable health records.
