An Open Letter
To: Mayor Mamdani
From: A verified voter in New York, NY
July 20
I live in a 561 unit condo tower on 42nd Street. Some business near us is being protested against by some union. They are clearly violating noise ordinances and waking us up at all hours and have been doing so for at least a week. I can’t handle it anymore!!
This is a direct assault on our right to quiet enjoyment. They should be subject to the same noise ordinances as normal people. For the sake of my sanity, our sanity, let the residents that pay taxes in this city enjoy their homes. It’s loud enough as it is.
I’ve called 311 and the police and nothing has stopped this. Everyone in this city should behave with civility. Full stop.
