Call for arms embargo on Israel, uphold human rights
To: V.P. Harris
From: A constituent in Pittsburgh, PA
August 21
The Biden administration's policy of providing weapons and military aid to Israel has facilitated severe violations of international law against Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The majority of Americans want these arms shipments halted until Israel discontinues its attacks. As a constituent, I demand a permanent, comprehensive embargo on all arms transfers to Israel from the United States. Enabling the killing of innocent people, including many children, through weapons exports is an unconscionable breach of human rights. A permanent cutoff of military aid is necessary to compel Israel to pursue a just and peaceful resolution that safeguards civilian lives.
