I cannot express to you how important I consider it as a Democrat and human being that you end US funding for Israeli war crimes. You, as Vice President and a former prosecutor, understand our legal obligations better than most - both domestically and internationally. It is inexcusable that the Biden administration - with your participation and support - has enabled the injustice and death happening now in Gaza and the West Bank. The ICJ rulings make our responsibilities clear. An arms embargo is only the beginning of what must happen to restore and protect Palestinian human rights. I as a citizen expect my country, the United States, to stop shielding Israel from accountability in our shared international institutions. It is reprehensible to see our nation and our leaders excuse these atrocities. I call upon you to change course clearly and forcefully. I call upon you to speak unambiguously to the American people and your fellow cabinet members to end this injustice. Our morals are not aligned with collective punishment, occupation, and apartheid; I expect my leaders to uphold our values, not defile them for power and influence.
