I am writing to you as a concerned citizen and voter to urge you to stop supporting Donald Trump’s reckless tariff policies and the dangerous narrative that he is some kind of economic genius. His actions are not only damaging our economy at home, but also destabilizing global markets and eroding America’s credibility around the world.
The chaos and uncertainty caused by Trump’s tariff decisions are hurting American businesses, farmers, and working families. Tariffs are not a long-term strategy—they are a blunt instrument that invites retaliation and isolation. And yet, instead of holding him accountable, too many members of Congress continue to enable this behavior, acting as if these decisions are part of some grand economic master plan. They’re not. They’re short-sighted, erratic, and politically driven.
We look like fools to the rest of the world—undermining allies, bullying trade partners, and abandoning principles of cooperation and fair commerce that once defined American leadership. This is not strength. It is not strategy. It is self-inflicted economic sabotage.
I urge you to stand up for responsible economic policy and for the dignity of our country. Put principle above party. Stop the charade. We need real leadership, not more blind loyalty to someone who is playing games with people’s livelihoods and our global standing.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
