Today Trump led a strike on Venezuela and kidnapped the country's leader. Regardless of Maduro's own actions and character, this is an obscene overreach in interfering with the independence of another nation. Jeffries' response was to politely insist on a briefing so that the administration could have the opportunity to justify their illegal actions. Schumer's was to say that he hopes the Republican party "puts a brake on" this project. The Democratic party is frankly unserious in its response to this and other outrages, such as the bald unconstitutionality exercised by the administration in taking away immigrants and citizens alike, at will, without due process. What is your response? Will it be more than thoughts and prayers? How can we force our party to respond intelligently and fiercely to abuses that meet or exceed any America has ever seen? What will you DO? What would you ask us to do? We the people are informed and we are furious. We must act together and end these insults, not just mourn them. Give us your word that you are ACTING.
