ICE PUBLIC EXECUTION THIS MORNING
To: Rep. Suozzi
From: A constituent in Hicksville, NY
January 24
Recently, you sent me a thoughtful response re: ICE funding after the murder of Ms. Good. We know you were one of the handful of Democrats who joined Republicans to continue to fund ICE. This morning I woke up to a video of a legal observer in Minneapolis, already on the ground with his hands behind his back, tackled by multiple ICE officers, SHOT IN THE HEAD POINT BLANK AND MURDERED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
I saw the amateur ICE officers first try to beat him in the head with a gun before shooting him point blank in the head.
I’m so sorry - bipartisanship efforts are as dead as this fellow citizen. ICE cannot be reformed. They are in Nassau county and I imagine this blood will be spilled on our streets soon enough. It is inexcusable no matter who the victims are but clearly they are not stopping, they are not focusing on criminals, undocumented immigrants. Clearly it is all of us.
You cannot in good conscience continue your support of ICE in any way, shape or form. If the murder of Ms Good did not open your eyes, and if you do not reverse course after this brazen PUBLIC EXECUTION, you are complicit in their violence, you support their violence.
Please wake up and realize what time it is. We need you to help keep us safe. Supporting ICE is not doing it.
