I’m writing to voice my thoughts on the announcement from Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth that he intends to live stream the firing squad execution in December. Mr. Hegseth is attempting to make the execution a public viewing. This is not only absolutely outrageous but it is also a disturbing, despicable act that is to be carried out in the name of the American people. I have to ask myself what has become of our country? This is not only a question of whether or not we can continue to condemn other nations who do this when we carry out the same act and show the execution of another human being on television. It’s disgusting! I urge you to stop this behavior from the Secretary of Defense immediately.
