Let’s call this what it is: Donald’s Dachau. That is what the public has rightly named the ICE detention facility in Florida — a flooded, rotting monument to cruelty and failure. It’s also been dubbed Alligator Alcatraz, but don’t let the dark humor distract you: what’s happening there is a national disgrace. One meal a day — riddled with maggots.
No clean drinking water.
24-hour fluorescent lighting used as torture.
Flooded grounds and unsafe infrastructure.
Bathroom access restricted to the point of humiliation.
Little to no access to clean showers or clothing.
These are not exaggerations. These are the real reports emerging from a facility our tax dollars now fund. This is not border security. This is cruelty for cruelty’s sake. And now the White House is trying to back away like they had nothing to do with it — but the money still flows, and the abuse still happens.
You are in a position to do something about this. I’m asking you to do your job: shut this facility down and stop sending more funding to ICE until real oversight and humane standards are in place.
Silence is complicity. Fix it. BE LOUD, Be obnoxious. Get on social media and hold trump and his regime accountable. Demand oversight and when it doesn’t happen speak up and point out exactly who blocked it. Stop being quiet. Fix our country.
