I'm calling to ask that you oppose the confirmation of Senator Markwayne Mullin as Secretary of DHS. Mullin is a hardline political appointee who will simply continue this administration's disastrous leadership of the department and keep endangering Americans. Mullin's record on immigration is extreme. He co-sponsored the Laken Riley Act and defended ICE agents after the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Most troubling, he stated that U.S. citizen children should be deported if their parents are undocumented. This position violates constitutional rights and tears families apart. DHS under this administration has repeatedly defied court orders, abused human rights, and wasted taxpayer money. Mullin won't fix these problems. As a MAGA warrior and staunch Trump defender, he'll rubber-stamp the same unlawful practices. We need a DHS Secretary who will follow the law and protect all Americans, not a political loyalist who prioritizes ideology over constitutional duty.
