Protect Indiana’s Right to Fair and Stable Elections

To: Sen. Tomes, Rep. McNamara, Gov. Braun

From: A verified voter in Mount Vernon, IN

October 9

I’m writing as your constituent to urge that you oppose any attempt at mid-census redistricting in Indiana. Such actions would be unconstitutional, destabilizing, and an abuse of power. Elections in Indiana should be run by Hoosiers, for Hoosiers — not influenced by outside political pressure from Washington, D.C. I’m deeply concerned about reports of national figures, including President Trump and Vice President Vance, attempting to pressure states into redrawing district maps mid-decade. That would undermine both states’ rights and the integrity of our democratic process. Please stand firm, defend the Constitution, and protect Indiana’s independence in administering fair elections. We need our state’s governor and representatives to be courageous and do what is right. I strongly urge you to stand up for all Indiana’s voters.
