Massachusetts residents need to know they are safe
To: Gov. Healey

Thank you for your recent requests for ICE to stop flying deportation flights out of Hanscom. I appreciate this stance.
At the same time, I am troubled by both:
1. Your support for cooperation between the Massachusetts dept of prisons and ICE
2. Yet-to-be seen plans or concrete clarity around what will happen here is ICE attempts the level of patrolling and door-to-door raids currently seen in Minneapolis.
How will you keep Massachusetts residents safe from such forced abductions? They’re already happening in our state and need to stop - along with not escalating. Images from ICE protesters in Burlington indicate that nearly 2 dozen new SUVs have been delivered to that ICE facility.
What will you and the other members of our state government do to try to protect us from further violence, intimidation, and kidnapping?
