No taxpayer funds for Trump's big beautiful ballroom.

To: Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno, Rep. Balderson

From: A verified voter in Athens, OH

May 25

I’m writing to urge you to reject Trump’s billion-dollar vanity ballroom and invest in working families instead. At a time when working families are struggling to afford gas, groceries, rent, and healthcare, the last thing we should be focused on is pouring $1 billion into a ballroom for the White House. President Trump promised us the ballroom would be completely paid for by outside funders, and that it wouldn’t cost taxpayers a dime. Now, it’s being put on our bill, even as we’re told our government can’t afford to lower healthcare costs. I understand that the reconciliation package may be put to a vote as early as this week. As your constituent, I urge you to vote no and reject spending $1 billion on a White House ballroom. Please fight for a reconciliation package that addresses the financial struggles of everyday Americans instead.
