I am writing to demand that you end all U.S. aid to Israel, including military aid, weapons sales, weapons licenses, financing, intelligence support, and any other assistance that enables Israel’s genocide in Gaza, illegal occupation, forced displacement, torture, siege, and mass killing of civilians.
This is not only a moral demand. It is a legal obligation.
U.S. law already prohibits security assistance to governments engaged in a consistent pattern of gross violations of internationally recognized human rights. The Arms Export Control Act does not allow U.S. weapons to be used for illegal aggression, occupation, collective punishment, or war crimes. International law, including the Genocide Convention and Geneva Conventions, requires the United States not to aid or assist atrocities and to use its power to prevent them.
Congress cannot keep pretending this is a matter of “conditions,” “oversight,” or asking Israel to investigate itself. U.S. weapons have been used in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and beyond while Israel bombs civilians, starves Palestinians, destroys homes and hospitals, entrenches apartheid and occupation, and openly defies international law. Continuing aid after knowing these facts is complicity.
The demand is simple: no more U.S. aid to Israel. No more weapons. No more sales. No more licenses. No more taxpayer support. No more legal loopholes. No more pretending that a wealthy state committing atrocities is entitled to endless U.S. backing.
You also need to listen to your constituents and the majority of Americans, not PACs, lobbyists, or politically motivated donors. The public does not want more U.S. military aid to Israel. Voters are tired of watching Congress serve donors while ignoring the people you were elected to represent.
If you continue funding, arming, and protecting Israel while it commits genocide and violates U.S. and international law, you are choosing complicity over democracy, donors over constituents, and impunity over human life.
I urge you to publicly support a full end to all U.S. aid and weapons transfers to Israel, support a comprehensive arms embargo, and oppose any bill, authorization, sale, or appropriation that continues U.S. complicity in these atrocities.
