Protect vulnerable lives, reject cruel budget cuts

To: Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper, Rep. Boebert

From: A verified voter in Keenesburg, CO

July 1, 2025

This monstrous budget bill is a vicious assault on the most vulnerable and defenseless among us. It recklessly demolishes essential lifelines like Medicaid, SNAP, housing aid, and maternal care - callously condemning millions to devastation and utter misery. The estimated 51,000 preventable deaths per year if this abomination passes are not just cold statistics; they represent real human beings, real families torn asunder by merciless, cruel policies. This is not fiscal responsibility, but a moral atrocity of the highest order - inflicting immense suffering on children, the elderly, the disabled, and the impoverished for the sole benefit of the wealthy elite. We cannot allow such a reprehensible betrayal of our nation's core values. I beseech you to resoundingly reject this draconian, inhumane measure and defend the social safety net that upholds basic human dignity for all. Show moral courage against cruelty. Reject this unconscionable agenda that sacrifices lives to enrich the privileged few at the expense of the most vulnerable. Our very humanity and conscience cry out against this vile injustice.
