The clean energy tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act are being eliminated in the reconciliation bill to cover the costs of the Trump-Musk tax scam. I want your office to do whatever you can to protect these clean-energy credits. What’s being proposed instead is a tax hike that would raise family energy bills - not what we should be doing, and certainly not to benefit billionaires. NERA Consulting has estimated that abandoning these tax cuts will force electricity prices almost 10% higher over the next four years. It will also cost jobs: Energy Innovation predicts getting rid of these credits will kill 800,000 jobs. Again, these job losses and higher energy prices will only happen to benefit billionaires and the fossil-fuel industry. Getting rid of the IRA tax credits will take money and jobs from regular people. I want you to vehemently oppose it.
