Misguided legislation that restricts legal cannabis access addresses the symptoms rather than the root causes of misuse and disproportionately impacts responsible consumers. The hypocrisy of selling 190 proof Everclear in every liquor store in the state and then targeting gummies is insulting and braindead. Montana should reallocate resources towards substantive issues facing our communities, such as affordable housing shortages, underfunded healthcare systems, deficient education quality, and unsustainable environmental practices. Enacting overly punitive cannabis regulations neglects the state's actual policy priorities that demand immediate attention and collaborative problem-solving.
