A recent executive order calls for eliminating the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the only federal agency that funds libraries nationwide. Libraries translate IMLS funding, a microscopic portion of the federal budget, into programs and services used by more than 1.2 billion people every year. Without IMLS, many of the resources and programs benefitting poor and minorities will disappear. Libraries are a necessary community resource. Please don't let this administration end libraries!
