A vote for the budget bill betrays your constituents
To: Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz
From: A constituent in Dallas, TX
June 26, 2025
My wife and I urge you vote against the current budget bill, a hastily cobbled-together package of bad policies that does nothing to unite the country or address our most pressing issues.
This bill is filled with reckless spending, inadequate prioritization, and a failure to address the needs of those who need help the most. This bill is littered with provisions that serve the interests of the few while failing to provide meaningful support to the many who need it most.
It will rip health care from millions, explode the deficit, and cause the biggest transfer of wealth from poor to rich in America’s history.
Cuts in Medicaid, Medicare and SNAP will devastate the most vulnerable of our friends and neighbors, while adding $2.4 trillion to our deficit.
A vote for this bill is a betrayal of your constituents. This is an opportunity for you, and the Republican Party, to stand up and do the right thing. Please vote against this destructive bill.
