I'm really disappointed by your comments about Ukraine's President Zelensky.
I think the meeting in the Oval Office was just a setup by Trump and Vance to give the government a reason to stop helping Ukraine with military aid.
When the Soviet Union broke apart in 1991, Ukraine suddenly had nuclear weapons because Russia had put them there. In 1994, Ukraine, the U.S., Russia, and the U.K. signed an agreement called the Budapest Memorandum. Ukraine agreed to give up the nuclear weapons, and in return, its borders were supposed to be protected, and no one would put economic pressure on the country.
Putin has broken that promise many times, and I think Trump wants to ignore the Budapest Memorandum.
You have said that you support helping Ukraine while serving in Congress. I expect you to keep that promise in the future.
