Concern about ICE Shootings

To: Sen. Hawley, Rep. Wagner, Sen. Schmitt

From: A constituent in Saint Louis, MO

January 25

I am writing as a concerned constituent regarding the recent ICE-related shootings and the large-scale federal immigration enforcement actions in Minnesota. The use of deadly force by federal agents, particularly in or around protest activity, raises serious concerns about civil rights, public safety, and accountability. Many Minnesotans, including state and local officials, have described the current federal presence as excessive and destabilizing to their communities. I urge you to support: • Independent investigations into all shootings involving federal agents • Congressional oversight of ICE and DHS operations in Minnesota • Stronger protections for peaceful protest and limits on excessive use of force Federal immigration enforcement must not come at the cost of constitutional rights or human life. I ask for your leadership in ensuring transparency, accountability, and respect for civil liberties. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter.
