Investigate Trump-Epstein Files and DOJ's Role in Blocking Accountability

To: Sen. Curtis, Rep. Maloy, Pres. Trump, Rep. Dailey-Provost, Gov. Cox, Sen. Lee, Sen. Plumb

From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT

March 19

I'm calling on you to launch a full investigation into the Trump-Epstein files and the Department of Justice's role in shielding those implicated. These documents contain evidence relevant to potential crimes against children, yet DOJ has consistently blocked their release and obstructed accountability for powerful figures connected to Epstein's network. The American people have not forgotten about Jeffrey Epstein or the predators he enabled. We will not accept the current Iran crisis being used as a distraction while DOJ continues to cover for pedophiles. War and foreign policy emergencies have historically provided convenient cover for dropping investigations that threaten the powerful. That cannot happen here. DOJ's pattern of protecting connected elites instead of pursuing justice for victimized children is unacceptable. Children who were abused deserve accountability, regardless of who is implicated. Use your oversight authority to demand the release of all relevant documents and testimony. Investigate why DOJ has worked to bury this case rather than prosecute it. Convene hearings if necessary. This is not a partisan issue. This is about whether we protect children and hold predators accountable, or whether we let DOJ and political convenience determine which crimes get investigated and which get covered up.
