Stop ICE's mobile detention program in Pennsylvania now. The Department of Homeland Security has signed contracts with GEO Group's transportation subsidiary GTI to deploy networks of vans that hold arrested immigrants "until full" — with no stated standards for how long people can be confined, no bathroom access requirements, and no due process protections. The only limit in the entire document is that women can't be held for more than 10 hours. That's not a safeguard. That's a confession. Around 70% of the tens of thousands of people currently in ICE detention have no criminal record. Project Salt Box co-founder Michael Wriston, a former military intelligence analyst, is explicit: this describes sweeps, not targeted enforcement. Detaining people in vans without meaningful legal process isn't tough immigration policy — it's unconstitutional. The Fourth and Fifth Amendments don't disappear because someone is undocumented. Holding people in mobile cages without due process, based on where they were born, is ethnic cleansing by another name. Demand a full congressional investigation into these contracts. Block any funding that supports mobile detention operations that lack enforceable detention standards. This is happening now, in Pennsylvania, and silence is complicity.
