We must push back against presidential overreach. President Trump does not have the authority to pause federal spending on grants, loans, and financial assistance programs. Train v. City of New York and the Congressional Budget and Impoundment Control Act of 1974 both clearly state that the President does not have the authority to deny funding he doesn't like. This move will disrupt and derail Americans and people across the globe who rely on US funding. If this is not stopped, Trump will continue to seize and consolidate power until America is left a shell of its former greatness. The only way to make America great again is to ensure that all Americans are able to access education, food, and healthcare; which are all in jeopardy with this obvious power grab. Stand up for your constituents NOW.
