I strongly oppose supporting Mike Johnson for Speaker of the House due to the alarming priorities outlined in the new Republican rules package. Placing attacks on transgender rights at the forefront of their agenda is completely misguided and out of touch with the real concerns of American voters. The people want their representatives to focus on substantive issues like the economy, threats to democracy, and protecting fundamental rights like abortion access. Wasting time and resources to undermine civil rights protections for a vulnerable minority group is unacceptable. This discriminatory crusade against transgender individuals must not be allowed to gain further traction at the expense of addressing critical national priorities. I urge you to reject this damaging anti-trans legislation and any efforts to enable an extremist social agenda that threatens equal rights and liberties. Our nation's leaders need to get back on track by tackling the real challenges facing hardworking families.
