I am writing today because I am trying to understand why Congress is standing by and refusing to stand up to the Trump administration. I do not understand why a boat in international waters near Venezuela was destroyed — killing all aboard. The United States has no right to bomb random boats because the unqualified individuals running the defense department want to play with bombs. This appears to be a war crime at the very least. I implore you to stand up to all of the ridiculous shenanigans and bring back a balance of powers. Between allowing the egregious tariffs (supposed to be Congress), to the militarization of our cities (responsibility of states, not feds), countless stupid executive orders, the destruction of the CDC, and now the outright execution of 11 people at the whim of a deranged, delusional, dementia-ridden man is deplorable. Congress should grow a backbone and do what is right for this country and stop placating the big bully in the White House
