Preserve PBS and public broadcasting! There are many people who can not afford cable or satellite or other pay TV options. Parents trust the quality and value of PBS programming for their children - 90% or more. Independent studies show that PBS News and programming is NOT politically slanted. Most of the funding for PBS comes from ordinary viewers. It is mostly rural areas, where other options are fewest, that benefit from the grants allowed b TV! y federal funding. Republicans have long wanted an excuse to defund PBS but this is against the wishes of MOST Americans. Free Press, Free Speech, Free
